One of the greatest, most important, most gut wrenchingly boring books ever written by a human psychologist. Reading this book is like vitamins smell.

A bit hard to rate. 4,5 stars because it's good but a bit too drawn out at times.

Pro:
I have a masters degree in psychology and the whole idea of there being fast and slow thinking brain modules seemed way oversimplified to me. Why would there even be a divide? I do not deny that I was expecting something better considering all the talk about this book. Probably because of my past as a psychologist, several of these concepts, information, experiments, I had already known, also the author's style is not exactly easy and he also tends to be slightly repetitive, but maybe he's just picky. However I do not think it's a reading for everyone, I was almost dead of boredom before finishing the book.

The Author is quite impressive, however he didn't provide detailed interaction between both types of thinking. Also he exclusively used psychological research data ignoring other converging disciplines, this made the getting the whole picture lacking. ...more

Good, but a hard read. It is written in a dry academic way. I felt like I was reading research papers, which is fine, I just needed to adjust my expectations.
