What a sweet and wholesome story. I don’t think I need to explain what Little Women is about, the March sisters are known and beloved by many and I was glad to have gotten to know them better over these 770+ pages.
I’m glad that I read this as an adult because for 1, I definitely would not have appreciated the story as much without a daughter of my own, and 2, many of the ideals are so outdated that I’m not certain it’s an all around positive influence for young readers today.

THIS BOOK IS SO CUTE.
All the characters are so lovable and the story is so sweet and adorable.
I'm not gonna lie, i'd have it enjoyed more if I had read it a couple years ago, when i was in my early-teen years but i really liked it.
It's a story that will make you cry and laugh but the most important thing is that it will make you think about life and about being a good person.

I’m surprised I’ve postponed this reading for so long since it’s marvellous! I believe we all are the March sisters at some point. Ambitious as Amy, disciplined as Meg, independent as Jo and kind as Beth.

Even though it my feel pretty light to read (despite classics’ reputation) it captures human emotions so well it’s incredible.

Can’t wait for the movie this December 🖤

This book is simply excellent. Alcott takes us through a whirlwind of events to help us reflect on love, life, and purpose. I found myself relating to most of the characters at some point throughout the book, and some parts really made me sit back and reflect on my own life's journey.

It was a magnificent read, and I really enjoyed the ending. I don't necessarily care about what ended up happening to each character, but I was captivated by their conversation at the harvest. Early in the book the ...more

If you were to ask me, 'what is the book that means the most to you?, think l'd have to say Little Women. This book is tied to my soul in every way and will never not adore it. So, in my next instalment of Chris' favourite book of the week (whilst still trawl through the ToG series), I need to talk about little women. The pictures above include my special edition from when the 2019 movie came out, and my original copies that were once my mum's, in set of three as that is how they used to be published. As you can see above, cannot just pick one quore to demonstrate my love, the book is just full of the most lovely, heartbreaking, and relatable lines. Even though the setting is over a hundred years ago, I think women today can still intimately identify with the stories told and the things that Joe says. Joe March is my person, she is me and I am her; her ambition, her love of stories and books, the way she doesn't feel like she quite fits, her style (| would steal Saoirse Ronan's outfits from the screen if I could). think almost every woman can find a but of Joe in her. But, it's not just Joe I love; Amy is endearing, Beth is a saint, and Meg is so sympathetic- there is something so realistic and loveable about all of them. And even the other characters-Teddy, Marmie, Aunt March - all make the story that much richer. just love this book in every way, and it will probably remaina large part of my personality until the day die (even just now, my screensavers and notion are both Little Women themed). Please please read this book, everyone should (or at the very least give the 2019 movie a go). ...more
