When I picked this book up I really had no idea what it was all about. Turns out this is like sexy G.I. Joe play, espionage and he-man hero stuff all rolled in to one very, very sexy package. At first I felt like I came into this from the side. It was clear there was history (see Bound By Honor) with one of the main characters, but I kept on and it all laid out clearly.

BRAVO Ms. Jakes!!! Excellent… an exciting plot full of action with two gun wielding, knife carrying deliciously HOT Alpha males, both damaged souls finding passion and solace in the arms of each other... no love yet, but this is a fabulous start and I am incredibly excited about this series!

Okay, so my initial reaction to Catch a Ghost by SE Jakes was.. What the Fuck??? Yes that is exactly what I said to myself when I finished it. When I first finished the book, I would have given it about 2-3 stars. I was alternately confused and intrigued in equal measure throughout. After "sleeping on it" for a night I have changed my mind. Just an excellent book. I loved it.
I feel very fortunate to have gotten the chance to read an ARC of this book.
SE Jakes is one of my favorite authors and has been ever since the first Men of Honor book. This is definitely my new favorite. One of the things I love about this one (aside from the hot sex scenes) is that is has action and mystery without you as a reader thinking to yourself, yea I saw that coming. I liked this story, but felt it was too much like the awesome Cut and Run series.
maybe even 3.5 stars.
Loved Prophet and Tom and now eagerly awaiting the next book.
