What is so bad about them that it took this many books to finally meet them?

Sadly, it was Zane's mother. She is a trip. This installment is all about family and acceptance, or in this case - intolerance from a certain family member. Ms. Roux continues to develop these well beloved characters by revealing more of their past. How Zane came to be the way he is now, it's a journey that the reader finally is given more destination points to follow along. Now the reader can connect the dots and gasp with "Oh no! How horrible! How sad! How can this be?"

While the reader learns to love Zane more, a mystery is still here to solve. Zane's father's been shot and it's up to Zane to figure it out. He's trying his best, yet he needs his partner. Tasmanian Devil Ty whirls in to help Zane out. The suspense part of this story is absolutely awesome. It captivates the reader. Each time when we think we have it nailed down, Ms. Roux adds another twist. This is something I enjoy very much. I like to be surprised and not know what will happen next. Ms. Roux leads us down a merry path with a fun little chase.

There are so many parts to this story I adored. One of them is Ty's relationship with the tigers in the Wild Life Sanctuary. Ty's fear of wild cats is understandable since he was basically kitty kibble in a previous story. Ms. Roux's description of his phobia is spectacular. It makes Ty that much more loveable and human. When she flips it around and has Ty fall in love with the tigers hosted in the sanctuary, it melts my heart. Ms. Roux does an excellent job of bringing all these seemingly odd threads together into a cohesive pattern.

Another part which I adored was Chester's contribution to Zane and Ty's relationship. Chester's wily ways is a hoot. He's that crotchety old grandpa no one can control or know what will come out of his mouth. Still, Chester possesses a heart of gold. This story is recommended for romance lovers who can't get enough of struggling relationship, which is so good. This is a must read. I repeat, buy this book now! ...more

I pretty much agree with everyone's assessments—the book is great, funny and emotional, and the emphasis is definitely on the emotional rather than the mystery (which still felt a little unresolved to me at the end, actually). But there's a lot to love here: forward progress in Ty and Zane's relationship, delightful (and one not so delightful) secondary characters in Ty and Zane's families, a lot of humor and heart, and of course, Cowboy Zane and Ty's tigers. Let’s go ahead and get this out of the way, I loved it. I am so invested in Ty and Zane’s relationship at this point I don’t care what they are doing as long as they do it together. But I tried to look at the story objectively so I could review it. I thought it was one of the funniest of the series. How could it not be with all the cat jokes and cowboy innuendos? Ty and Zane are still in the puppy love phase of their relationship and doing it like bunnies, sexy cowboy bunnies. They are getting c Let’s go ahead and get this out of the way, I loved it. I am so invested in Ty and Zane’s relationship at this point I don’t care what they are doing as long as they do it together. But I tried to look at the story objectively so I could review it. I thought it was one of the funniest of the series. How could it not be with all the cat jokes and cowboy innuendos? Ty and Zane are still in the puppy love phase of their relationship and doing it like bunnies, sexy cowboy bunnies. They are getting comfortable showing affection to each other and finding it harder to hide it while at work. They are talking about spending the rest of their lives together.

We finally get to meet Zane’s family in Texas when his father gets shot by people trespassing on their ranch. The books have become more concentrated on Ty and Zane’s relationship, but I thought there was a clever and solid “who dunnit?” in this one. Abi Roux is a big supporter of Big Cat Sanctuaries and has been raising money with the sales of this book to adopt Barnum, a Bengal Tiger at the International Exotic Animal Sanctuary. There are tigers in this book and it made for some hilarious moments with Ty. You will love Zane’s father and understand more about why Zane behaves the way his does when you meet his mom. We found out Ty can sing in the last book, in this one we find out Zane has a talent too, other than making Ty scream .

It is no secret this is a coming out book, but only to their families. It was a little heartbreaking to see them struggle with the fear of telling their parents, but I liked how Roux handles things. The two families handled things differently. Did I tell you I love Zane’s father?

Roux’s writing style is smooth and natural which means you don’t notice the prose as you read. I feel like I am watching a movie so the story goes by fast. It was over to soon. There are so many laugh out loud scenes, but this is one of my favorites. It makes me laugh every time I imagine it.

“Good or bad?” Ty asked, rubbing his fingers over Zane’s chest to soothe him. Smith chose that moment to come out of hiding, pouncing on his moving fingers and landing on Zane’s chest. His claws sank in, turning the bed into a frenzy of cat fur, flying linens, and screaming FBI agents.”

I think I might have a new favorite Ty and Zane story...?!

Ty and Zane have had it pretty tough throughout all the previous books, so I'm glad this one was all sweet and sappy and sexy; hardly any angst at all.

I'm currently in a nasty review funk, so I will just list some of my favorite aspects of this book. Yes...there will be SPOILERS

There is so much difference of opinions about this one. I have been very distracted by work and my reading has been sporatic. Therefore my comments might not be too fair so I will give the benifit of the doubt.
Sometimes I thought Ty and Zane were exactly who they should be. They can't be the same men that started this series as they changed each other. My issue with them is their sometimes goo-ey, doe-eyed, lovey-dovey stuff. Some in tender moment is right, I guess it's just a little too often ( ...more

I liked this book. It's been 2 years since I read a book from this series and I feel like something is different. I mean I remember when I first read Cut & Run the boys were different. I mean I know they are growing and the relationship is changing, and I love that actually. I just feel like these aren't the same guys I first met. Audio book review: I was a little disappointed when I started listening and found that Sean Crisden, the previously narrator of this series (except for the first book), was not the narrator of this book. I love Sean's voice and wasn't quite sure I was going to enjoy it since I've grown attached to his voice. After listening for awhile, I decided that J.F. Harding's voice was good and by the end of it, I found I rather like it, especially his "cowboy" accent ...more

read this months ago, cannot believe i forgot to review.

was awesome of course.... we finally get Zane's family life, there was some heated moments with Ty's family but in the end it worked out...their relationship is more solid than its ever been and overall it was a great story.

but now that the next book is out soon, my thinking is that this may have been the honeymoon phase and Touch & Geaux is going to kick our emo asses.

Oh my, what an adventure! I loved the action (as usual) in this story and the ongoing development in Ty and Zane's relationship was so, so satisfying. The addition of Barnum to the story was special. Can't wait to read on!
