I usually find myself losing patience with a long series of books, but this series keeps getting better and better.

Ty & Zane are by far my favorite fictional couple. Each book has their relationship maturing and the layers of past damage being peeled away, if not completely dealt with. In this book we finally get to meet Zane's family and get a good look at where a lot of Zane's emotional damage came from.

I really, really wish Goodreads had a 4.5 stars!

Okay, so this installment of the adventures of Grady and Garrett introduces (or reintroduces) us to members of their families. The first half of the book is very romance-centric, delving into the deepening feelings the men have for each other, their relationships with various family members and thoughts about the future. The second half focuses more on the action and the climax - whooeeee! I loved it!

I liked this book. It's been 2 years since I read a book from this series and I feel like something is different. I mean I remember when I first read Cut & Run the boys were different. I mean I know they are growing and the relationship is changing, and I love that actually. I just feel like these aren't the same guys I first met. I loved the ebook and waited ages for the audio to come out (two years felt like 2 decades!). Waiting so long for the audios, I left the MM and Romance genre almost totally, listening only to action/espionage thrillers. I tried MM in-between but didn't get past even one chapter so it is a big thing to me that this Cut & Run installment in audio has brought me back to the MM romance genre! I bought all four Ty & Zane audiobooks released recently and produced by Audible studios (after several emails to Riptide and Audible) and also the two Sidewinder audiobooks that had been released earlier.

I'm so happy Ty and Zane have not lost their touch with me and while I know some who got fed up of the saccharine moments, I loved them and listening to the audio revived my affection for this duo.

J F Harding did a good job and I didn't miss having Sean Crisden who had narrated the last few. I'm happy to have the Touch & Geaux, Ball & Chain, and the final installment, Crash & Burn in audio to listen to when I need to take a break from terrorists and and assassins:)

REVIEW OF EBOOK; MARCH 29, 2014:
This reminded me of Book 2, Sticks & Stones, but only in that T&Z go back home to meet the folks. The difference between the two installments is that Sticks & Stones made me decide not to follow the series because I thought it was one of the most boring books I'd ever tried to read. First, I don't care for camping and second, the last thing I want to read about in my romances is the MCs going camping. That was back in 2010 but last year I bought the audio and fell in love with the entire series, including Book 2.

I'm a diehard T&Z fan now so even though the rest of the audiobooks are unlikely to be made (now that they are in the hands of Riptide) I will have to be content with the ebooks. Um, no, it's not Riptide's fault but Amazon's...but that's a completely different topic.

Unlike Book 2, I took to Stars & Stripes rightaway and found myself chuckling away at Ty and his big cat phobia and loved all the cat puns. I enjoyed this aspect of the story so much that I was sad for Ty when the two men finally got home and found Smith and Wesson gone. But the good news about that is that Julian Cross took them back...which means he's alive and kicking somewhere and I can't wait for him to make a reappearance:D

I felt for Zane and the hurt his mother caused by her hard attitude though that was made up by his father's acceptance and support. I liked this installment for the interactions between the MCs and the family members and did not mind the weak suspense thread. If I were reading this expecting a romantic suspense, I'd be giving it 2 stars but since I went into it to see where these two men are now, relationship-wise, I'm happily giving it 5 stars because the writing flowed smoothly and got 100% of my interest at any given time. This is saying something because 9 out of 10 books are cast aside when I only have the opportunity to read half or one page each at each session. This was how I read 3/4 of this book yet had no difficulty remembering where I stopped nor did I even think of abandoning it. I'm glad I had the time to read final 25% in one sitting and have started on Book 7, Touch and Geaux. ...more

read this months ago, cannot believe i forgot to review.

was awesome of course.... we finally get Zane's family life, there was some heated moments with Ty's family but in the end it worked out...their relationship is more solid than its ever been and overall it was a great story.

but now that the next book is out soon, my thinking is that this may have been the honeymoon phase and Touch & Geaux is going to kick our emo asses.

So much love for the point they are at right now. It was great to finally see them happy and honest with each other. Well as honest as Ty can be.... Now for T&G which will make me cry...again.

Oh my, what an adventure! I loved the action (as usual) in this story and the ongoing development in Ty and Zane's relationship was so, so satisfying. The addition of Barnum to the story was special. Can't wait to read on!
