Jenny: 4 stars
Gitte: Sigh…where do I start Jenny?! I really did enjoy this story. It’s co-written by one of my favourite Authors so I was really looking forward to jumping in. I have to say though that despite it not being one of my favourites I really liked it. It was short, it was fun, it wasn’t too intense or emotional and it hit the spot!

I wasn' t too sure about this novel, as while I love both authors, they have very different styles of writing. Amy is the queen of heart-wrenching stories while Aleks' style tends to be dark, stark and brooding. Yet they find common ground in that they both send a message that if it's given a chance, if it's fought for, love will always win out. And I think that this common ground is the basis of the a successful collaboration which resulted in this novel.

Wow. This was awesome!
Everything starts immediately (no b.s. filler words telling the entire history of each character before the story starts) with Owen in a shady bar in London. Owen (who is bi) is on vacation from the states with his ex girlfriend. The ex has a booty call with HER ex so she sends Owen away for awhile (yeah, it was confusing but funny as hell). While sitting at the bar, Malcolm spots him. Malcolm's one-night-sub is a no-show so he sets his sights on Owen.

3.5 stars from me.
This was a very sweet story, but somehow I couldn't get into it. The characters were lovely, the plot and the story telling were really good and yet, there was something missing. Still can't point out what, but, there.
I would recommend it as a good read, just not as compelling as Dark Soul volumes, or as crazy as Incursion (loved this one, by the way). ...more

A fun short. There isn't huge depth to the story but it is a short. I loved the characters, they really made it fun to read. If you believe love can and does develop even on short notice, you will enjoy the story.

Very likable story with likable heroes and a bit of a deliriously happy ending, but I think it works within the context of the story. (I was thinking as I read, actually, that the story has something of a movie arc—two guys meet improbably, have a whirlwind romance, but then everything goes back to normal... except, wait, both men have changed!) (I loved the last scene. I won't spoil it for you, but yeah. Epic movie moment, very well described.) I finished the book wondering about Owen and what

Enjoyable romance set over just a weekend. There's nothing remotely hardcore about the BDSM aspect - it's actually rather sweet. Amy Lane and Aleksandr Voinov seem to write well together - I didn't feel like there were any parts that felt disjointed in style, despite half of it being narrated from an American's POV and the other half from the Brit character's.

Snarky, with just the right amount of vulnerability, describes Malcolm perfectly, and Owen knew just how to bring out the best of both. I loved this pairing. The chemistry was a living thing and the sex was “thank-you-may-I-please-have-more” HOT! I absolutely loved the ending, but I’m also thrilled to have another book to look forward to. This dynamic duo author team came up with a winner on this one!!!

4.5 Stars
Absolutely gorgeous writing...smart, wry and satisfying! It was fascinating watching Malcolm and Owen's relationship develop. ...more
