I. Am. Satisfied.
I feared the day this series would end, but now when I've read the last words, I feel oddly satisfied with it. Not with it ending, but the ending itself. Although I'm planning to start rereading the series first thing tomorrow morning. I want to make this journey again - as soon as possible - and catch all the nuances from it. I've had this series on my to-read list for a long time. Now that I've finished it I have no idea why I’ve waited so long to start reading it. This series was nothing like what I’d expected. It was better, way better. It was fantastic. It was absolutely one of top three series I’ve read this year. NO SPOILERS
I never thought I'd say this, but I am so satisfied with this ending. In fact, I am pleased and elated. And...surprised. Nothing surprises me anymore and THIS... was spectacular!
This 5th and last book of the series, made it totally worth reading the short installments. It was truly the best of all. I was really concern about how it would end. I didn't want it to end. I truly expected the worst. Up until that last scene, I still expected the worst.
Everything made sense in the end...S ...more

Lauraadriana said it all. Aleks is amazing, as always. I must say he should do more series. I'm not big on short books but if they are in a series written by one mean, sick, brilliant author, I'll follow like a lemming. If it's his men who cock the guns, I'll stand in the line of fire too.
