I got my copy in the mail a bit early - which was an awesome surprise for me this week - and thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent reading it. Gabriel's City includes a beautifully flowing narrative and engaging characters, but most of all I loved all of the glimpses into how much worldbuilding took place in developing Casmile and the world around it. Encountering subtle cues into the nature of the world's history, varied theology, social politics, and - oh yes - the darker aspects of its vice
