this was an ok story for me. i loved dusty rose. i actually enjoyed all 4 of the MC's. Flynn was a smart ass but was loyal and true!

I rounded this up but I wish I'd liked it more. I've been thinking on this for a few days and the book is hard to review.
1. I like the four main characters. They're interesting and complex. Wash and Cage are probably the most developed and Flynn the weakest.
2. The bones of the plot are interesting. I like historical fiction. I love a good road book/movie. There's a villain, a treasure, action.
3. Who doesn't love US Marshalls, gun fighters and dapper outlaws?

Westerns aren't normally my thing, but this one - everything from the unusual setting on a Mississippi steamer to the characters is just perfect, the tension and the characters building alongside each other. a great entertaining read that would make a fine movie, too

This was so good! I shouldn't be surprised since I'm a fan of other Abigail Roux stories, but western romances are not usually my thing. This was more an adventure with romantic elements. Gabriel Rose was so awesome. One of my favorite new characters. Flynn i wanted to punch for most of the book. Wash was adark of calm reason which was sorely needed and Cage, wow, so not what i expected. I highly recommend the audio version. Narrated really well by Mason Lloyd.
