What Members Thought
I liked the romance between Robert and John the best out of everything in this book. It was a nice simple and for the most part angst free. Unfortunately the world building wasn't that well done and steampunk elements seem almost out of place and not well defined. They were handled more like window dressing than a integral part of the world. There were also parts of the story that simply didn't make sense to me like why the bad guys just didn't take the device from John in his travels sooner. Or

I love Witt's work. I didn't connect as deeply as I do with all of her MC's, but the setting was great and the romance was action packed
