Hell, spoil me rotten why don't you S.E. Jakes!

If you've followed my reviews so far you'd know I'm a huge fan of Prophet and Tom *swoon*, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I was eagerly awaiting this story. How could I not?! These two are so not your typical couple but so very endearing and addicting. Their thoughts, actions and emotions always entertain and arouse *cough* er, affect. And that's not even taking into account the situations they always find themselves in.

Everyone who are into this series knows this is not Dostoyevsky, but, boy, is it fun!

The appeal, at least for me, is not in the over-the-top plot nor in the world of espionage and modern-day warriors. It's in the characters of Tom and Prophet (and Mal and Cilian and...) and their interactions. They are hot, fucked up, funny and intense. I like them so much that any reasonable complaints about book's flaws fly right out of the window! The series is entertainment at its best.
