I absolutely love Gemma. She's such a great character and this book is beautifully written! I was laughing with her and at her. I was scared for her. If I cried in from books, I would have cried with her. This was a great book and I strongly recommend it. There are parts I was not happy about and I was disappointed when something... unsettling happens- especially during this time period. It is never brought up again. Overall, I loved this book. If I could give it a 4.5 star, I would. I'm very ex

In my opinion, this book was way better than the first book! We learn more about the order and a lot of things are going on. There was a lot of mystery in this book which I really enjoyed as well. I also enjoyed the historical elements much more in this book than the first - I love historicals BTW.
I really liked how the majority of this book was set in the 19th century London, cause you really got to see how the people acted towards other people and the balls, ahh... the balls! Wish we still had ...more
