A lot of people either blow off this book or praise this book by labeling it a love story. It's so much more than that! In fact, I don't even consider it a love story. Daisy and Gatsby only fill a small, fleeting part of it. This book is a brilliant look into the lives of common personality types. It's a character study that applies to everyone's daily acquaintances. It's a character study of different kinds of men and women. I love that. Whether it was intended or not, I love reading this book ...more

This book was actually pretty good. I can see why it is a classic. I didn't overly like the ending but the characters were very interesting and the book was a very accurate look into the 1920s. ...more
