I have started and restarted this review a half a dozen times now. What do you say about a book that is so go graphic, so raw, but at the same time so real and unapologetically pragmatic?

I first saw the movie and let me tell you, I have never cried that much watching a movie in my life. That being said, it was fantastic. I knew I had to read the book. The book was also amazing and I enjoyed the depth that went into Nettie's letters. Other than that I probably enjoyed the movie more. I liked the storyline added to Shug and the beautiful moment where they are all singing. I feel like maybe watching the movie took away from the full enjoyment of the book since I knew what would hap
