I have only been to the circus only once or twice when I was very very young. I can't seem to remember if I enjoyed it or not. Before reading this book, I thought it was about normal circus but I was so wrong. I wish there was a circus like Le Cirque des Reves in real life that I can go to. I want to stay in there and never ever leave. So magical and enchanting and everything felt so real. The writing is so smooth and beautiful and not too over the top. Not a single part was boring or confusing

The Night Circus is the debut novel of writer Erin Morgenstern. What a grand first novel. How to authors do this?? I have no idea how they can have all this inside of them and hidden for so long until they are published. This novel was inspired, to say the least.

Overall, I just liked it okay...there were parts that were strikingly beautiful. But, really, way too much fluff for my taste and not enough substance. While a promising premise for a novel, it wasn't developed enough or executed well.
