I loved this book.... the last couple chapters wernt as good as the rest of the book and the first 100 pages or so sucked the the whole rest of the book was awsome... i did not like the ending. I hate hanging on for the next one.
Defantley recomend. i would like to see both versions of the movie and see if they are as good as the book.

Lately I've read a lot of best-sellers and have been highly disappointed. I've even been to the point of questioning "good literature" and this book is one of those I've heard is good but knew nothing about it. I loved this book, and found it very hard to put down.

The author's story is amazing too. Although fearing death I am disappointed that he did not have a will to ensure his long-time partner would be able to continue with these books.

I really enjoyed this book. I think that about 50-75 pages worth of unnecessary descriptions and the like could have been cut without effecting the story, but over all it was a great book. The first third, or half, was a little slow. Ok, it was painfully slow at first. But, once it begins to pick up speed, it doesn't stop until right at the end. It took me a week to read this book. The first five or six days were spent between the first page and roughly page 50, but once it finally gained moment ...more

A fun and entertaining read. I read this book during an 11-hour delay at the Guatemala airport, so thank God it was entertaining! Nothing groundbreaking in a literary sense, but entertaining. And that can be quite enough!
