Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
The love story broke the boundary of the ordinary and stepped into being one which won't be easy to forget. The characters Lou, Treena, Mrs. Traynor, Mum etc were realistic and you could feel empathy for them.
The story forces to really question the right and wrongs of the grey area. What would you if had to let someone you love die? What would you do if you were the one in the wheelchair?

I selected this for my bookclub. Very much like the movie, but I think it made me cry more. Lou makes you feel what she is feeling. Like her I've never felt like I was enough either. I can easily see why she fell in love with Will. Not that he was easy to love, and she wasn't after him for anything. I do want to read the next book to see what happens next to Lou. We never know who in our life will over some type of a transformation. A great, but sad love story.

I adored 95% of this book. Then I immediately downloaded the sequel from the library, so the 5% I didn't like did not prevent me from wanting the story to continue. (It did, however, cause me to bump my review down one star.)

The premise of a romance where one of the couple is disabled is unusual (to me anyway, there might be many of books of this sub-genre out there, but I'd not come across it before) and I was drawn to it because I thought it would be uplifting, people overcoming difficulties and prejudice to find happiness.
