I confess: by the time I got to 50%, I was bored.
So why did I keep reading?
Confession #2 - because of the sheer amount of positive feedback and the really good rating this book has, and because of the fact that I've seen it on almost every 'X books to read before you die' list.
Confession #3 - because it's so well written. I could actually hear the Southern talk in my head. Folks, when you read this, read it in English. That Alabama slang alone makes it worthwhile, although sometimes difficult to
