OK... I loved this book because of just one character.Atticus. I loved this book even more after I started reading the catcher in the rye, which is slowly starting to be a disappointment....but that is a story for another day.

To kill a mocking bird is quite interesting, it stimulates thought and I felt it portrayed very well the beginning of mentality change towards race and the meaning of equality (Race is biology, It is simply the color of skin. One can't be racist towards biology, it is simpl OK... I loved this book because of just one character.Atticus. The subject matter was clear throughout the book. To be honest at first I found the story dragging, I didn't care much for the two kids who kept calling their father by his name which was weird and quite frankly confusing. Even though the kids were funny and very endearing I really didn't care to read about their every move.

I loved how Harper Lee captured the exact English they used to speak. It was funny, I didn't know people spoke like that back then.

Although, the story wasn't told from his perspective but Jean's, his daughter, Atticus was obviously the star of the story, and Tom Robinson (the poor man). I kept waiting for Atticus to come back from work and become a great father to those kids, I loved how brilliant he was,unfazed and fearless. He was the actual real life super hero. I enjoyed seeing his character and demeanor being rubbed off on his kids, to the disappointment of Alexandria, Atticus' sister(very narrow minded)

The book is educational, I didn't know that a woman wrote it, that was a pleasant surprise.Not that i think women can't write great literature, on the contrary.

O.M.G I feel very read now that I am finished with to kill a mocking bird, the great American classic!lol

Th only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is solely attributed to the fact that I have been reading more lately, and 5 star has got to be earned man!
I wanna give it a 4.5 but I don't know how. Ooh well!

A great read. I would definitely recommend it.
