This book is from the point of view of Melinda, high school freshman and her dealings in her everyday life.
This is not exactly a happy story, she has to spend a lot of time on her own because people don’t want to talk to her, she’s an outcast, her old friends also stopped talking to her and above all that, she has to deal with “IT”.

I really enjoyed this book. I felt like it was well-written and told a strong story. This was definitely a quick and easy read...but I also had a hard time putting it down. I enjoyed the symbolism...and I felt that the voice of the storyteller really embodied a young girl who might have gone through something tragic like this.
