Finally, a "classic" written about a woman that we can cheer for. So tired of the repetitive themes of how sinful women were in contrast to their virtuous, loyal, hard-working, monogamous, loving husbands (i.e. Anna Karenina, Madame Bovary). Please.

I loved this story. It is full of obstacles, suspense, mystery, romance, poetry, faith. I went through it a lot faster than I thought I would. The characters were complex and unusual, they often left you guessing about their nature and intentions, especially Mr Rochester. I was completely enchanted.
