Gosh how slow and painful is it waiting for Mockingjay? Very? Exactly.
Everybody else is making predictions so I might as as well (was that correct grammar)?
So:
- Katniss will NOT die. Just can't see it happening.
- Katniss will end up with Peeta. We all know its meant to be.
- Finnick will die. We all love him, but how important is he?
- President Snow will die. Well that's more of a hope than an expectation.
- Gale will end up with Madge. And even if he doesn't, fanfiction and I will make sure of it ...more

Wow! I powered through this in a few hours today and thought it was a great finale! A lot of questions were wrapped up, with plenty of others to ponder. I have quite a few questions about why what happens at the end had to happen and all that, but I thought it all played out and fit together. It was very tense and I am glad it is over!! I have so many feelings when it comes to this book. None of them bad. I feel lost now that it's over and all I can say is read it!

Yes, their are a few things that bothered me, that I would have done differentely; but this isn't my fantasy world, this is the world that Suzanne Collins' created. A world that I was entagled in for so long. A world where I yelled at my book in disbelief while secretly hoping that if I looked away I could erase the words I just read; where I felt for fictional char ...more

Shelves: adventure

This was not at all what I expected. I was heartbroken to see my favorite characters transform into something I am not sure I liked. One thing is for sure, you cannot go through what these characters have gone through without some emotional upheaval and perhaps brain damage. I am glad the way it ended, and how it showed that the *surviving* characters were so literally scarred. No one could have predicted all this.
