I'd totally love this book better than the first one because the story became deeper, larger and complicated. When I was reading it I was like thinking where the story will go, I guessed wrong about my predictions that Katniss would go away, go to the woods or rebel and lead an uprising in their District.

Damn you and your amazing storytelling, Collins!
Obviously, this book isn't necessarily quite as amazing as the first, as there isn't quite the element of surprise anymore - but it's still an excellent novel. The whole "love triangle" element didn't consume the book, partly because Katniss knows there are more important things to worry about (like survival and protecting their families). It manages not to be repetitive (it's hard to explain how without spoiling it for the reader), and introduces ...more

I really liked this sequel to 'The Hunger Games'. It has the same thrilling story line which makes you unable to put the book down. It's also a following to the story and not just a repeat of the hunger games, which many sequels do seem to be.
I am extremly curious and excited to know what will happen further and can't wait for book three. ...more

Suzanne Collins has the gift of developing complex characters and rich story lines that surprise, enchant, and leave the reader hanging on every word. I am counting down the days to August 24th when Mockingjay comes out. I have not been this eager for the next book in the series since Harry Potter. Everyone who loves to read must read this series. And I must add that I am so Team Peeta!

This book was all I was hoping it to be! I COULD NOT put it down! Quick paced and exciting, there isn't a boring moment in this book! The only thing that disappointed me was the cliff hanging ending! I'm dying for more and counting down the days until the next book, Mockingjay, arrives.
