Alana ~ The Book Pimp
Why did I drag my feet on this book and/or series? WHY?

It was damn good- I'd go up to 4½♥'s and mention that I am QUITE keen to continue. I see more IAD's in my future... and I'm not even Nix.

I received a free book from XOXOAfterDark in exchange for a honest review. No guarentee of a favorable review was ever made, and I also spent my own money in order to purchase an audio book. I REGRET NOTHING.

This book pulled me in instantly. I loved everything about it. The supernatural characters, the back stories, and the different races that are introduced as the book progresses. The whole concept of this secret world that happens right alongside us was captivating.
Don't forget the passion that grows between the two main characters as the story unfolds, leaves you breathless, and wanting to be devoured by a hot possesive immortal yourself.
If you love a great paranormal romance story, full of pass

I thought that The Warlord Wants Forever sets up this book perfectly. Lachlain MacReive has been trapped for in Hell created by evil vampire Demestriu. The only thing that is keeping Lachlain's sanity is the thought of his mate. When he smells her above him he does everything in his power to reach her no matter the cost. Lachlain is The Lykae King missing for years but will do anything to keep his mate close. Emmaline, a half vampire/half Valkryie, is searching for her father in Paris. She is ge ...more

What a surprise this book was for me. I started reading it over a year ago and didn't make it past the first chapter. Then I tried it again a few months later and again didn't make it past chapter 3. I thought it moved too slowly. I decided because of the rave reviews from all my friends that I'd give the book another chance. This time I listened to the audio version. I really, surprisingly, enjoyed it.

I was prepared to dislike it but determined that no matter what I would finish the book this

I'm such a sucker for an arrogant male, throw in the Scottish burr and I'm sold! I think Lachlain made the new Book Boyfriend list! I enjoyed watching Emma accept and come to terms with herself. The crazy Valkyrie make me laugh too. They're like the most dysfunctional family ever. These books don't fall into the general cookie cutter mode of most PNR. I really enjoy them!

Reread because it is my favorite Kresley Cole book. Love, love, love. First in her Immortals After Dark series (first full-length novel) and my favorite. A werewolf hero is always a great place to start. Highly recommend.
