Not many things I can comment on without spoilers for at least earlier books. I like the direction this series has taken from 2 books ago, and this was a good change of pace - I liked that it wasn't just a rehash of the plot of the past book with different villains. Actual change happens!

Have I mentioned how much I like Curran more and more with each book? I should, because that devious shifter can be so romantic and awesome and sneaky!

There were so many LOL moments, I'm surprised I didn't pee my pants (though I was often smiling like a loon.) More jokes that you can shake a stick at, and just downright ironic moments, and some so absurd - but somehow, it all works. I'm always thrilled to read a new Kate Daniels book (and just as amazing on a re-read). This one has Kate and Curran settling into their house and looking for a missing Werebison.

What I enjoyed:
