A exciting thriller story, featuring two badass babes with painful pasts. Scars both internally and externally. But both are so much braver and stronger than they know, especially together.

I enjoy Cari Hunters book immensely, and especially the British humour she puts into them. This time though we have just the 1 British protagonist, it is set in the US with an American Cop as the other main protagonist.

You really feel the danger and sense the action happening and all the drudgery of the weat

The first few chapters setting up the backstory and alternating between the two ladies were a bit predictable and almost perfunctory. But when they finally meet, and the rain
starts bucketing down, our ladies are in for the most harrowing rollercoaster ride of their lives, and we are in for a very suspenseful, effective thriller.

Great story. I was biting fingernails all the way through. Loved the interaction of the two women. On to their next adventure.

Wow, the main characters are really put through the wringer! That being said, it's a well-written book from an author whose previous work (Snowbound) I also really liked. There's action, suspense, and romance in a lost-in-the-woods tale for 2 women who are trying to piece their lives together. Looking forward to more tales from Ms. Hunter. ...more
