I was in two minds whether to read this book. I love anything to do with vampires and werewolves but the witch aspect put me off for a while. I'm so glad I finally read it! I was engrossed from the first page to the last. I'm eager to read the sequel and I'm rooting for Kass and Lenoree's relationship to progress. ...more

'Witch Wolf', of the enticing, glossy book cover, is the first instalment of a series that promises echoes of the Anita Blake series penned by Laurell K. Hamilton. However, while Winter Pennington can emulate Hamilton's style and produce a similar cast of characters, she wisely chooses to stop the resemblance there.

There are a few books, lesbian and otherwise set in worlds where vampires and shapeshifters walk openly among humans and have legal rights.
