5 Stars for this audiobook by R.J. Nolan, narrated by Angela Dawe. I’ve read this story numerous times. First in its online form, then the ebook in 2013 and now the audiobook.
I really enjoyed the audiobook. I may have enjoyed it more than when I read it myself. Angela Dawe is a wonderful narrator. If you are interested in a book she’s narrated – snap it up. Her narration just adds to the enjoyment of a good book such as this one.

This book came along at just the right time for me. I was hesitant to start another series but when I saw that it was a short series I decided to treat myself to something I've wanted to read for a while. Now, not only have I read the book this week, but I've also listened to the audiobook - a sign of just how much I really enjoyed this storyline.
I loved both of the MCs. Jess and Kim say and think to themselves "what a pair" a lot in this book, and I have to agree, what a pair they are. They're ...more

Hmm.
Okay. I enjoyed like, a solid 75/80ish percent of this book and it was feeling like it could be 4 stars until the end. I was warned about the graphic detailed description of rape but getting to it and listening still annoyed me. For context: it’s a description of something that happened years in the past by the survivor of it, but it’s graphic, and (I felt) unnecessarily so. Here’s the thing, Jess, (the survivor) spends this whole book with Trust Issues and you don’t know why, except there ...more

RJ Nolan has created an engaging story about psychiatrist, Kim and ER doc, Jess. Both women have past traumas that have affected how they live their lives. I enjoyed the relationship development between them because extra time was taken for Kim to crumble Jess's walls and allow her in. The dialogue is natural and believable and the descriptive details are plenty. Thor, Jess's great dane is an adorable addition to this story. Sometimes, the story tends to lag when they go back and forth holding b

This is the formal publication of an uber that was originally posted online.
Although it's set in a hospital, I'm not sure I'd classify it as a medical romance - in this one Nolan doesn't put too much medical detail in (which is probably good as those in the medical field normally roll their eyes when they see/read medical dramas). It is, however, defintely a romance where a recently transfered psychatrist joins the staff of LA Metro and ends up as the psychiatry liaison with the ER (you know .. ...more

If I could, I'd give it 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the book and the characters and stayed engaged throughout the book. I will certainly read the sequel when it comes out.
