I wish I read something like this in my teens instead V.C. Andrews. But then again, I can't go back and, as far as Young Adult Fiction, this is just as an "enjoyable" read as "The Book Thief."

Hmmm... What to say about "The Hunger Games" that hasn't already been said? I gave it 3 stars because I admired the writing, but ultimately I found the book so disturbing that I couldn't "really" like it. This book is, as others have noted, very well written. I read this book in a day. It's a totally grilling read and once you start I really don't think it's possible to stop.
If you were ever a fan of Battle Royale then I think you'll like this.
The relationships in the book really draw you in emotionally, the action sucks you in and keeps you turning those pages. ...more
