A well-written, slow-burn, crime thriller that tackles some hard topics with care.
What was the book about?
I want to start by saying that this book needs to be preceded by a Content Warning for rape, sexual assault, trauma, PTSD, etc.

What a slow burn in this story. Lots of twists and turns and interesting characters and side plots. Detective and loner Aiden meets bubbly Psychologist Dawn who suffers a horrible incident that brings the two of them together. Healing, crime drama and legal proceedings make this a long, satisfying read. I hope to read more of them and in this universe in future stories.
