Great humor and interaction between characters. Not just the main characters, but all the characters make sense and communicate well. I look forward to more with these characters.
This is a very well written book that covers a subject that will be a trigger for a number of readers: rape. Jae deals strongly and sensitively with the subject, not shying away from the emotional as well as physical trauma it brings. There is great empathy in her writing, and while the subject is difficult, it is not downplayed or dealt with with cursory writing. While much of the character interactions and development deal with the consequences of rape, it is not the thing that defines them. T
