I just read “And Playing the Role of Herself” for the fifth time, and enjoyed it immensely again. For me, this is an amazing love story. And obviously completely irresistible. :D

Goodreads just ate my review. Ugh. I had it all typed out, too.
I just finished my 3rd read of this novel and have yet to review it. So here goes...
And Playing the Role of Herself was one of the first adult sapphic romances I ever read. It's highly ranked on Goodreads Lesbian lists--deservingly so. Relationships are not easy but boy are they worth it. There are the ups. There are the downs. When I hear people say a good relationship should not be work; I disagree because if you are looking for a long term connection, you understand that people change and as people change the relationship will probably change too. There is give. There is take. Two people working together to keep the relationship going strong is the key to love and happiness.
