*I received ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.* I'm a huge fan of everything Jae. I've read all her books and love her paranormal, medical dramas, historical romances and The Hollywood Series. So I was very excited to read this story and I enjoyed it throughly. Laleh and Hope are very easy to like and very easy to relate to. The "connection" between them at first seems unrealistic but later becomes very second nature so it seems to make sense. I was a little disappointed that th

Do you believe in Magik? Heart Trouble by Jae is a lovely story of two people touched by Magik but looking for a logical answer to what happened to them. Dr Hope Finlay and Laleh Samadi, didn't know each other until Laleh collapsed in the ER admission area. From then on they were connected by a mysterious link neither could explain.
As the story develops the friendship between the two grows. The author develops her character well. She brought seriousness and humor to both her primary and secon ...more

Heart Trouble is a sweet, fluffy romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. There's no world-ending drama or psychopathic killers here, just genuine characters and a sweet developing relationship.

It takes a miracle of unbelievable proportions to start these two on their road together (which I won't mention much, because learning about this is half the fun of readi ...more

When I first started reading ‘Heart Trouble’, I expected fluff and I was not disappointed. Romantic fluff is an important part of my sanity, it’s my refuge when the rest of the world gets crazy. This story allowed me to escape, and taught me a few things as well! I was pleased to see an element of multiculturalism, woven in such a way that it was a part of the story’s foundation. Heart Trouble earns a rating of 4.5 stars.
Laleh Samedi is a waitress working for her aunt in the family restaurant. She is part of a large, loving extended family. One night her heart starts to race and she collapses in the ER of a large Los Angeles hospital. In the process of reviving Laleh a literal connection is made with Hope Finley, the ER doctor who saved her life. Think of this connection as the Universe saying, "what must I do to get you two to notice each other?"
