Shelves: ff-legal-drama
This is a great legal drama, which provided an insight into the working of the US Supreme Court. There is also some romance thrown into the midst of the story. A perfect combination for a weekend reading :)

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how much of it was devoted to details around the court and the case, with a slower development to the romance side of things. I also really liked both main characters, and felt that they had unique character traits, flaws, and things that set them apart. Overall a really good read

Thought the first part of the book was a bit slow and too much law and not so much romance, but overall a good read.

I really enjoyed this book. The two main characters had great chemistry and made it a fun read. It was also a nice departure from run-of-the-mill plots. The Supreme Court case and legal proceedings were interesting and didn't require a law degree to understand what was happening.

The secondary characters added tremendously to the story, but didn't overshadow the leads. There was just the right amount of humor thrown in without being over-the-top. If you're looking for a new twist in lesbian roman

I really love reading books based around legal issues or legal drama and I loved the intricacies bought out by Rippon via this fictionalised DOMA court case. From reading the blurb, I didn't realise this was a second chance romance but I think it fit well within this book, mainly because the flashbacks to their college time together gave the story a bit of levity.
