I love this series. I have been addicted to it since I was in grade 11. My mom has this book as well, has yet to read it, but she's been hearing about me squeeing about it for years now. LOL

I'm not sure how to rate this. I mean I really like the story and characters but I struggle with the ending. Not going to spoil anything but I didn't like the "god" talk at all. It really felt preachy and illogical. It was very unnecessary for the story in my opinion. The book is also way too long, there's a lot of stuff she could've cut out but otherwise I did enjoy her writing and again the story is pretty good.

I started Reading this because Diana Gabaldon is so praised everywhere and because I love Scotland and historical novels.
In the beginning I was taken by the beautiful writing and interesting characters but then it got worse and by page 90 I was bored stiff!! And gave up!

Read some of the * reviews and was relieved for giving up, as it seems to get even worse.
And I'm truly sorry I couldn't like it!!

It IS that, make no mistake, this is the story about a woman who falls through time and falls in love with a big hulking dude, but it's done well. And her story on her own is interesting, as is the big hulking dude's, and the other people she meets. That,
