4 stars. Take the intenseness from book one and then multiply it by a thousand and you have this book. Holy hell. I was on the edge of my seat because I spent the first 12% or so waiting for the shit to hit the fan.

The beginning is a lot of cute moments of Sarah and Alex just living life and being in love and then bam! everything goes up in smokes and the action takes off. It was so entertaining but my heart was pounding and I was filled with anxiety. I just wanted the characters to be okay but

After reading Desolation Point where we were introduced to Alex Pascal and Sarah Kent and their harrowing fight for survival from a white supremacist group. We follow their story in Tumbledown. It is set after two years since Alex and Sarah survived the events that led them together. They have settled down in a small country town under the witness protection program from the FBI. Alex is back working in the police force and Sarah is training to become an EMT. Alex and Sarah are enjoying the peac ...more

More thrilling action for poor Sarah and Alex.

Your heart really aches for everyone involved as it also pumps with fervor as you try to figure out what will happen next and how they will possibly get out of it, this time.

Sarah and Alex's love is deep and beautiful. I just love Cari Hunter's work.

Books like Tumbledown where character go through gut-wrenching trauma (especially emotional— I can take physical, but emotional...) and disaster aren't my forte, and a few times in the beginning I felt like putting the book down on the account of how shocked and upset it made me— but there's no mistake that Cari Hunter makes a great book yet again, although I wish that Tumbledown had a more original ending, especially since it uses the very same trope as an important scene from Desolation Point. ...more

This is my favorite Cari Hunter novel so far. I really love the relationship between Sarah and Alex. Cari never makes things easy for her heroines, and this book is no different in that respect, but their love for each other is always present and keeps the reader emotionally involved in the story. There are also a few surprises thrown in to keep you guessing along the way.

I know Cari has said she's not planning another sequel, but I would love to revisit Sarah and Alex somewhere down the road.
