This book was not for me. I acknowledge that the writing is very pretty and that it has some fun elements, but... what can I say? I long for plot in a novel. Or stakes. Themes, maybe character development. This book had precious little of any of that, and pretty descriptions didn't make up for it. ...more

Loved the flow of this story. It's not told in a linear time frame so at first I was thrown off by the dates jumping around but the story unfolded based on relevant events. I have a feeling I'll be thinking about the visuals described for quite awhile. ...more
