This is a book about an academic paper about a documentary film about a house that’s bigger on the inside than the outside.

Brilliant in parts, almost unreadably dull in others. Academic writing isn't much fun to read even when it's being parodied. I was torn between finding the strangely formatted text interesting and fun and finding it pretentious and unnecessary.

Long horror(ish) novel, plays with: multiple layers of frame narration, formatting, typography, cement poetry and really adopts that love of footnotes that you see sometimes. Was not that scary and ending not phenomenal. Fun read, though time consuming.
Who would have thought a book with this many footnotes could be scary (outside of an academic setting)?
