This was something entirely new.
First it was vampires, then angels, now I guess it’s mythology-time.
Not bad, since I’ve always loves myths.
So, here we find so called ‘bean sidhe’s, which basically are girls screaming bloody murder whenever someone’s about to die, and guys trying to direct the souls of the ‘newly departed’ to where they have to go. Or at least are wanted to.
I like the title Rachel Vincent gave to the series ‘Soul Screamers’. It’s something cool that gets stuck in your head no mat ...more

Just one word to describe this book: INCREDIBLE!!!

What would you do if you knew someone was going to die before it happened? Would you try to warn them? Would you try to stop it from happening? What if you couldn’t? Would risking someone else's life be worth saving another?

These are all questions Kaylee Cavannaugh struggles with as she uncovers a whole new world in which she wasn't prepared for. Kaylee is anything BUT human. In fact, she is a Bean Sidhe (Banshee if you will, an Irish folktale Just one word to describe this book: INCREDIBLE!!!

As she uncovers the truth about who and what she is, she realizes her family has kept secrets from her, her entire life. Though her hot and caring boyfriend Nash is there the whole step of the way to help her understand why she is having panic attacks. He is the only one who can help her through them while they are happening, calm her. The journey is anything but fun for her and the people she cares about. Death seems to follow her wherever she goes. But can she stop it?

WOW, this was definitely an intense and suspenseful book! I was holding my breath part of the time. I just love Kaylee. She is a strong and likeable heroine. I admire her strength for all she goes through. She never ceases to amaze me. I am really glad I read the prequel first. It really helped me understand what this series was about and it kept me intrigued. I loved all of the characters. They each had an important role and they played their part well. I love Nash! He is a true boyfriend right there. He was there during her first panic attack with her and he never strayed. In fact, he calmed her. It was awesome! Though you will see why he never strayed or ran off scared shitless. I adore him. BUT...there is another hottie in the mix! TOD. And I have a feeling I am going to be going back and forth between the two. Damn, sucks to be Kaylee. But I really hope she chooses Nash in the end. Unless, Tod impresses me more in the next 4 books. Oh yea, I guess I should read his novella-Reaper. Hmmmmm, I loved this book! It was a kick ass adventure, full of surprises and romance and secrets. I highly recommend it! ...more

MINI REVIEW!!!

Kaylee senses when someone is about to die and she screams bloody murder. Literally. I loved the originality of this idea! I haven't come across anything like this and I was so glad I did. It started out completely normal with teenagers trying to sneak into a bar and turns into something spooky and supernatural! The chemistry between the two main characters Kaylee and Nash was great. They were one of my favourite book couples last year for being so cute and hot together!

I stayed up till 3am to finish this book. That has only happened about twice before. For me to stay up so late - or should I say early - to finish a book, means I absolutely loved it.
And to think I've been so hesitant to read it. Thank God for the prequel, My Soul to Lose. If I hadn't decided to read that because it was only 80 pages, this might've still been on my to-read list years from now. ...more
