A young man grows up in India where his father is a zoo keeper. The family moves animals on a huge ocean-going ship in the Pacific to begin a new life in Canada. One night the ship suddenly begins to sink. Thrown overboard by one of the ships crew, the yonng man finds that he survives the shipwreck in a life boat. His family and the crew are all missing. One of my favorites. Starts off slow, but builds to a great story. In the end you're left wondering if it was real or if it was all just a dream.
