Oh how I have missed Richelle Mead's fantastic writing =] AMAZING! Couldn't wait to read Bloodlines after the end of VA I was hoping it would be as amazing, and it was! Loved the characters and the plot. Great seeing Rose and Dimitri's make a appearance! Couldn't put it down and can't wait to read the rest of this series. 5/5 ...more

My Cover Thoughts: I absolutely love the cover! Sydney is so beautiful with her tattoo and Adrian, well he is just HAWT!

My Thoughts/Review: I absolutely loved this book. I was told that it started out slow and then did not go so well as Vampire Academy. Well to the people that told me that I want to say you are CRAZY because Richelle did an excellent job with Sydney’s story.

I like Sydney much more than Rose. Rose seemed slfish and impatient, and Sydney is cute in her own way. She's crazy smrt :O I used to despise the thought of Sydney and Adiran together, but now, after Bloodlines, I rrrreally support it :DD
I liked Jill up until Bloodlines. She was whiney, but I can kinda see why. If i was stuck in my crush/big-brothers figures head while he was screwing with whores, I think i'd be a taad traumatized also.........................................................

I'm very happy with this book and new series. What I'm most excited about is that Richelle Mead's new Bloodlines series stays in the same world as her Vampire Academy series. She has kept many of the same characters that played small parts in the VA series, such as Sydney the Alchemist, Adrian the Rich-boy x-boyfriend and sweet Jill also known as Jailbait. This book worked for me on so many levels. I like the complexity of Sydney's position. She doesn't really want the job as Jill's protector, but she does want to get back in the good graces of the Alchemists she has ticked off. Sydney also wants the approval of her uptight impossible-to-please father, though she knows their father/daughter relationship is basically shot. Absolutely adored it. I love Richelle's writing. So normal and conversational and witty and you somehow become friends with the characters and develop real emotional connections. I'm not looking forward to having no Sydney, Adrian, Jill and Eddie to read about. I mean, we're already missing Rose and Lissa - what do we do now?!?!?

Bloodline is book one in the Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead. This series is told from the perspective of Sidney Sage, Alchemist. I wasn't a Sidney fan in the Vampire Academy Series, but I loved Adrian, Eddie, and Jill. Sidney won me over with this book. I love how she's so different from Rose in Vampire Academy (although I love Rose). Sidney is far from a party girl. She dreams of going to college and enjoys studying and order.
