Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) in Vampire Academy Devotee

I do not know, all that I know was when I closed the book, I wasn't able to stop thinking about it, or even do anything without at least think about the word vampire. Yeah, I was that extreme.

I decided to read Last Sacrifice after Bloodline was released, and I got to say, the Vampire Academy fever is pretty infectious. In Last Sacrifice, the suspense was increased a notch, everything became more intensed and f How could Vampire Academy still ended so perfectly with so many things left dangling? I do not know, all that I know was when I closed the book, I wasn't able to stop thinking about it, or even do anything without at least think about the word vampire. Yeah, I was that extreme.

I decided to read Last Sacrifice after Bloodline was released, and I got to say, the Vampire Academy fever is pretty infectious. In Last Sacrifice, the suspense was increased a notch, everything became more intensed and for once, vampire politics was involved. After Queen Tatiana was murdered and Rose was accused as the fugitive, she, alongside non-strigoi Dimitri fled to find a safer place until Lissa and her other friends found a way to clear Rose's name. But of course, there was more to that.

Last Sacrifice is by far the thickest book in the VA series, but why I couldn't get enough of it?

These are my reasons why I adore LS:

1. The development of the story was perfectly written, there was not a single part of the book in which I think would be inadequate. That is why I love Richelle's style of writing, with her proper and extensive elaboration on a particular subject, I was able to understand and fully absorb what was happening (or the seriousness of what was happening) and fully enjoy the reading experience. Not to mention, when it was suspense, it really screamed suspense.

2. I find myself loving the characters even more! I find myself liking Adrian a whole lot more than I first 'met' him, back then he was just a brat wanting a good time, but I know deep down he is a good man, and he proved himself in Last Sacrifice. I was sad for what happened to him (Thank God Bloodlines is out) and I do think he deserved a happy ending himself. He might not be as matured thinking as Dimitri, but for him to be 'used', it was unfair too.

3. I get to see a stronger side to Lissa. All the while I thought of Moroi as weak and very much dependent on Guardians, so to see Lissa taking things into her own hands and grow so much since I first 'saw' her was quite thrilling. Also, I was also glad to see Rose grow up too, yes she still possess her impulsiveness (she won't be Rose without it), but there was just something different about her compared to the previous books.

4. Dimitri! Oh how much I missed seeing him as the good guy (although you got to admit, Strigoi Dimka was addictive). Dimitri showed such a soft side of himself in LS I never thought I would see. He seemed so different I can't seem to remember much of the old Dimitri too:P

5. Suspense, suspense, suspense. Mystery, mystery, mystery. That pretty much summed up LS. And, there are certain parts that reminded me of Hunger Games and Divergent (where Lissa took the tests), which reminded me of how good books are supposed to be:D

The characters are great (no one was left out!), the story was intense and it's paranormal. What more can you wish for?
