Loved this book but theres to little Dimitri and too much Adiren for me.

okay, i got this the same day it came out and finished it the day after it came out (MAY18-MAY19)
....
I kind of thought it was too... idk... thought out??? Like there were barely any obstacles. But what happened was all i wanted to,(except DIMITRI NOT WANTING HER, bagghh) just in a different way. It sucks i have to wait till december.

Spirit Bound is book five in the Young Adult Series, Vampire Academy, by Richelle Mead. This series is about Rose Hathaway, a Dhampire and her best friend, Lissa Dragomire, a Royal Moroi.

In book one, Rose and Lissa are 17 years old and attending St. Vladimir’s Academy. Rose is a dhampire training to become a guardian, Lissa’s guardian. Book five (view spoiler)[begins with Rose and Adrian a happy couple. Yeah! He’s given up vices to be with Rose and is acting more responsible and respectable. Adrian and Abe sit together during the trials, while Abe explicitly details what he’ll do to Adrian if he hurts his daughter. Jeaniene, Rose’s mother, offers support before the trials begin and Rose passes her final test with flying colours. She graduates with the highest marks by far, and heads to the royal court with Adrian, Lissa, Eddie, Christian, and her graduating peers. Rose and Lissa enlist Eddie to help break Victor Dashkov out of prison. Eddie agrees to help without knowing the reason behind the jail break, but trusting that Rose’s adventures are always for the greater good. Once Victor has been sprung, the foursome head to Las Vegas to meet Victor’s brother, Robert. Adrian catches Rose in her ‘girls weekend’ lie but joins the group to help solidify their jail break alibi. Robert explains to the group that to turn a strigoi back to their living self, a stake must be infused with spirit magic and plunged into their heart by a spirit wielding miroi. Rose refuses to risk Lissa or Adrian and decides the task is impossible, while Lissa begins practising with charming stakes. Strigoi attack the Vegas hotel, Victoria and Robert disappear, and Rose stops Eddie from delivering the killing blow to Dimitri. Eddie is furious with Rose when he finds out the true reason for the jail break. When the foursome arrive back at court, Rose and Eddie are punished for their disappearance, while Lissa and Adrian are not allowed contact with Rose. Christian confronts Rose and Eddie about the jail break. He offers to accompany Lissa to visit her University and teach her some staking moves since Rose is being punished. Christian and Lissa are caught practicing by their guardians and are coached in the art of staking. Lissa, Christian, Priscilla, and their guardians are attacked by a group of strigoi. Lissa and Christian are taken away by Dimitri who is holding them hostage to draw out Rose. Rose and the court guardians head for the university to rescue Lissa and Christian. Christian encircles Lissa and Dimitri in fire while Lissa attempts to stake Dimitri. After numerous attempts, she finally hits his heart. A bright peaceful light filled with spirit magic envelopes Dimitri and he is returned to his dhampire self. He lay in Lissa’s arms, weeping. The guardians lock up Dimitri and get Lissa medical attention. Dimitri has devoted his life to Lissa for restoring his soul, while refusing to see Rose. Rose struggles with her feelings for Adrian and Dimitri. Adrian continues to be understanding while Dimitri pushes her away. During Dimitri’s capture, the royal council voted to change the dhampire guardian graduation age from 18 to 16 years old. Rose makes a stand in the court announcing that the queen will regret this and calling her a few questionable names. When leaving the court, a crowd has formed around Dimitri who is being interrogated. The crowd believes Dimitri is once again dhampire although will be watched by the guardians. Rose tries to speak to Dimitri but he tells her his love for her has faded and hers will too. Rose agrees to attend a party with Adrian but is distracted by a laptop delivery from her father. The laptop is a video feed from Sydney who asks Rose if she was involved in breaking into the alchemist archives to retrieve information about Lissa’s father. Rose was not involved and goes to sleep following her conversation with Sydney. She awakens to Adrian on her doorstep in his party clothes from the night before – she forgot to meet Adrian and unintentionally stood him up. Adrian understands that this is confusing for her and asks her to be honest about her feelings. The two embrace and kiss, which leads to beings naked in bed. Without protection, Rose stop things before they go too far. As a consolation, Rose offers Adrian her blood instead. Adrian is more than happy at the turn of events while Rose feels she’s done something wrong. In the morning, Rose leaves Adrian in her bed and runs into Dimitri and two guardians. They discuss the change in guardian age and are interrupted by the royal guard arresting Rose. Dimitri defends her but she agrees to go with the guard. Rose is being charged with the murder of Queen Tatiana. Adrian claims he spent the entire night with Rose, but the alibi isn’t good enough. Abe defends Rose at her hearing and with her weapon found in the Queen along with her fingerprints on the weapon, she is charged and heading to trial. Ambrose gives Rose a note from the Queen, which claims she lowered the age limit rather than forcing all dhampires to serve as guardians. She also said that Lissa is not the last Dragomire and if her sibling could be found, than she could gain a seat on the council. Abe tells Rose that he will not allow her to be found guilty at trial. Rose panics, saying she doesn’t want to live her life in a prison and the book ends with Abe telling Rose that traitors are not sent to prison, they are executed. (hide spoiler)]

Holy Smokes! This series keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait to read Last Sacrifice. Richelle Mead is brilliant!

I am so ecstatic that I have finally finished this book. I bought it when it first came out but I was hesitant on reading it only because I heard a lot of rumors that upset me. I've finally read the book though and I am more than pleased on how it turned out. Richelle Mead is a beautiful writer and this series is phenomenal. I cannot wait to read the last sacrifice(which I already bought). So for all the readers out there just know that this book was take you on a journey you will never forget!! ...more
