A quei tempi avevo diciotto anni ed era estate, la scuola era da poco terminata e cercavo "il libro", quello giusto, quello che desse senso alla vacanza nel mio tempo. If you have any teenage angst against the world, or any hatred for our standardized school system, you should read this book. Hard to relate to in the fact that Holden is a private school boy on the east coast, the feelings are easy to relate to for me. If you don't want to read it for those reasons, read it for the fact the Mark Chapman held it when killling John Lennon.

One of my two all-time favorite books (along with To Kill a Mockingbird). Not enough can be said about this outrageously wise book. Like many others, I feel a deep personal connection to Holden as well as his sister Phoebe. A book that MUST be read (over and over and over)...
