When Savannah von Hopf receives a call from her uncle saying he is in trouble and needs $250,000, she has no choice but to approach Ken "Wildcard" Karmody for help. He is a Navy SEAL and can surely keep her safe from the terrorists in Indonesia. But the meeting doesn't go as planned. 04/23/2022 Reread - Everything about this book is just as fantastic the second time around! Ken and Savanah in the hide is just one of the most memorable sex scenes in Romantic Suspense. I listened to it this time around and the Lawlor & Ewbank team narration was 5-Star.

Hmm, there were things that I actually really liked, but there were some others that really annoyed me. So far my favorite of this series. All the storylines are well done. There are a lot of characters and a lot going on, but it's smooth transitioning between the different story's and doesn't seem jumpy or overdone.
I loved how the WWII story was a book written by one of the characters that the others were reading throughout the book. This author does a great job of pulling me into the story. I can't wait to read more of this series. ...more

Read as part of series group read *** 3.5 stars rounded to 4
This was an improvement over previous novels in the series - the action and the romance were better incorporated into the multiple storylines, but it's still heavy on the romance side with the action just there as spice. This series would be difficult for anyone to drop into, even at this early stage, because there are so many interconnected stories and continuing encounters.
So the *main* romantic action is between Savannah Von Hopf & ...more
