Left my reading material at home, and was left at the bookstore at the airport to find something to read.
I came across this book, translated into English, about a story of Southern Germany town in Bavaria region during the mid-1600s, told from the perspective mostly of Jakub (the hangman), his daughter Magdalena, and the young doctor, Simon. I really enjoyed this. Even though it had a darker side still found it a fun read. I thought this would be a bit of chore due to so many characters but Potzsch wrote in such a way he refreshed you but it wasn't overly so.
