I strongly hoped I would fall in love with this book, as I had heard it was like Harry Potter only more adult. I will give it a hat tilt, it did have some comparisons. We have a magical school, a school sport (no flying brooms mind you.) It even had different "houses", so to speak. These being the groups you wind up in after your discipline is figured out.

It varies from the usual tempo in that the book runs through the school years quickly but slows right down afterwards. The characters are interesting and pull you in, but there are holes where further development is needed. It had some great moments but just couldn't kee

This book was more of an adult version of Narnia. I enjoyed it though. The characters are not always what you expect.
