The first time I read this book I think it got me 2 years (with interruption) to finish it. I first thought that it was kinda slow to really enter into the action but after re-reading it I just got into the story from the first page. Honestly, wow. I watched the movie and that's what made me re-read the book and I'm just amazed on how fabulous this book is. I can't wait for the sequel!!!

okay,i have to admitt..i cried at this book.
i never usually cry though. i think i read 40 books in 6 weeks and i didnt cry at one.
except the host.

Okay so basically,there is this soul called Wanderer and shes been put in Melanie Styders body to see why she lasted so long without being caught by seekers.
Wanda(wanderer) couldnt find why melanie lasted so long.
her seeker wouldnt leave her alone in which at the end is explained why.
Wanda is sharin the body with Mel. SHe isnt suppose to but Wanda can ...more

The Host is my favorite book of all time. I literally got laryngitis reading this book to my husband on a camping trip. Profound, emotionally wrenching, and a real page turner. Amazing!

What a wonderful story! I love a great book that can make me laugh and cry within just a few pages a part. I've re-read this book three times because I just simply love the story. What an amazing job Stephenie Meyer has done.
