"Audrey, Wait!" is a book about a teenage girl and how, after she breaks up with her boyfriend Evan, Evan's band shoots up to fame! Audrey becomes famous because of the song that her ex wrote, 'Audrey, Wait!' Audrey has to learn to deal with her fame, her best friend, and her ex-boyfriend along with a potential lover, work, and school. Audrey just wants to go back to being a normal teenager and not having to deal with the paparazzi following her around, videos being posted of her on the internet, and her friend wanting to use her to get free stuff.
This story takes place in a modern-day setting with everything a teenager could want. Audrey and her boyfriend have been having problems and she just gets fed up with all the drama and breaks up with him. That night at a club she hears Evan's band playing a song called 'Audrey, Wait!' and she figures out that it's about her! All of a sudden the song is a smash hit, and everyone is listening to it! Now Audrey has to run from paparazzi, screaming fans, and even her classmates who will send in pictures or videos to make a little cash. Audrey also has to figure out if her co-worker Jonathan likes her because Audrey likes him.
I recommend this book for music lovers, mostly girls, and people who like stories about fame. I rate this book 4 stars because there was always a different plot going on. Audrey would be running from people trying to take pictures of people and then she would show up at work and question Jonathan's feelings for her. I also think you should read this book if you like a little romance but you don't like when it takes up the whole story line.
