This book is a sci-fi book that is a prequel to some of the books in the private series. This book is about three girls who find a big book of spells in an abandoned cell at their school, Billings School For Girls. They decided to listen to what the book said and start a coven so they could preform spells. They got thirteen girls together and did small spells like changing colors of people's clothes. After a will Theresa got very jealous of Eliza for being able to do spells, being friends with her best friend Catherine, and taking her boyfriend Harrison. At the end of book Catherine fell into a hole and died after Theresa accidentally cast a spell to make a tree fall.
The fact that the book was about spells and witchcraft made me not like it that much. If it hadn't been a prequel to the series I probably wouldn't have chose to read it.
A teen student who likes books about witchcraft and the Private Series would probably really like this book. I would not recommend it to anyone who hadn't read the Private Series because they would be even more confused than the confused person that did read the series.
